Alumni Spotlight: Four Original Two Bridges Players Share the Pitch as College Rivals

One of the greatest measures of a development program is seeing where its players go—and how far they carry the bond built on the field.

This past weekend offered a special reminder of that legacy when Bard College faced off against SUNY Morrisville. Looking across the pitch, spectators were treated to a rare sight: four Two Bridges alumni representing their respective colleges in a high-caliber match.

For Bard College, Luca Costanzo and Frankie Perera continue to be foundational forces. I had a chance to catch up briefly with Bard Head Coach TJ Kostecky, who shared that both players have been key contributors to the team’s starting XI all along. Luca, who spent several years electrifying the flank as a standout winger for Two Bridges, brought his signature pace and creativity to the pitch. Beside him was Frankie Perera, a member of the original Two Bridges cohort whose leadership and work rate have translated seamlessly to the college game.

On the Morrisville side stood Vakaba Sisi, another day-one Two Bridges player whose journey exemplifies the mission of the club. Before taking his talent and education to Morrisville, Vakaba earned professional trial offers in Germany—a testament to his elite ability and dedication. Joining him on the Morrisville squad is fellow Two Bridges alumnus Jessi Tu, who is currently working his way back onto the pitch following a torn meniscus. Though sidelined during the match, Jessi is nearing the end of his rehabilitation and is set to rejoin the lineup soon.

Seeing four players who once trained together as young athletes face off as collegiate opponents is a powerful milestone for Two Bridges. From early training sessions to college lineups—and international interest—these young men continue to prove that hard work, opportunity, and community lay the foundation for success both on and off the pitch.
